About Us | Green Value Nursery

Green Value Nursery is a wholesale grower of nursery stock; located in Centerville, Minnesota, just 15 miles northeast of St. Paul. Green Value Nursery moved to the current location and closed its retail garden center and botanic display garden at the end of the 2001 growing season.

Gordon and Barbara Swanson established the nursery in 1952 as Phalen Park Landscaping. The Swanson's retired from the business in 1990, and with great fortune their son Richard is now the owner.

The core of Green Value Nursery's business is a wholesale container nursery, growing woody ornamentals, conifers, ornamental grasses and perennials for landscapers, garden centers and others throughout the Midwest area.
