U of M introduction. Finally an early red fruiting apple that is crisp and juicy! Known for its sweet-tart flavor and long lasting storage period up to two months. Fruit ripens late in August for MN. Great for desserts.
Thin, strappy foliage remains a clean, medium green throughout the growing season. Triangular, light pink flowers and attractive gold stamens rest just above the foliage during its very long bloom period. Flowers are very attractive to pollinating insects.
An evergreen plant that displays distinctive foliage coloration which is reddish at the tips when grown under full sun conditions. Best in full sun, but generally appreciates some light afternoon shade in hot summer climates.
