U of M introduction and cross between a red & silver maple. A seedless variety with intense scarlet red/orange fall color and cut leaf foliage. Shows fall color early, giving an advantage to Northern climates.
A showy, fine-textured, grass excellent in shady gardens or woodland settings, it forms a tight clump of narrow foliage that is petite in size but still has the same plume of seeds in late summer that birds love. Perfect for small areas and containers, it is easy to grow and maintain.
Lemon yellow frilly flowers with crimson eyes and crimson spots at the ends of the petals from late spring to mid summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It's heavely lobed leaves remain green in color throughout the season.
