Proven Winner. Neat, compact branching with fine, deeply cut, dark crimson-red leaves. Pinkish white, button like flowers appear in mid-summer. Not fussy about soil conditions.
Attractive gray-green foliage sends up hearty, purple flower spikes that make excellent fresh or dried cut flowers. May re-bloom if cut back after flowering. Deer resistant and striking.
When I first saw this flower I thought it was a Chenille plant. Its hot pink fuzzy flowers bob up and down in the breeze which makes this plant very whimsical. It is worth trying in your garden for sure!
Male selection. Extremely hardy holly with rich deep green foliage on a dense twiggy oval-rounded form. Plant as a pollinator for 'Red Sprite' and 'Afterglow', excellent for the shrub border. Deciduous.
