Chelone lyonii 'Tiny Tortuga'

White May flowers, followed by highly nutritious edible black berries. Excellent red-purple fall foliage. Tolerant of most soils.

Proven Winner. Wonderfully fragrant flowers in late summer. Its foliage is dark, glossy and very attractive. Most remarkably this plant has flowers that are larger than typical.

U of M introduction. Pink buds open to white flowers in May and June. Acidic well drained soil, even moisture.

Attractive pewter blue-purple foliage, reddish purple stems. Clear pink single flowers bloom in June. Red-orange hips for year round interest.

This selection is not typical when compared to others because it's columnar. Most Elders are tall and wide, but not 'Black Tower'. The foliage is dark purple and it looks very large and leathery. Pink flowers followed by pink berries in fall.

Bright creamy-yellow foliage is paired with pink flower clusters mid-summer into fall. Needs very little maintenance to keep its low, mounded form.

The name says it best! A very rare and showy, white flowering Weigela that produces tons of early spring flowers. This selection was found in the mountains of China.

Long-blooming blue-lavender flowers and a compact mound of dark green leaves that turn brilliant yellow in the fall. 'Blue Ice' is cooling and soothing to the eye in both summer and autumn.
