A superb shrub for brilliant fall color, turns a florescent red color, very showy; a compact mounded growth habit and interesting corky wings on the branches, a good size for home landscape use; very adaptable and versatile.
The daisy like flower heads have bright green oblong cone-shaped centers. The flowers are really fun and appear in an array of orange, red and yellow. This Mexican Hat proudly wears its colors. Heat tolerant.
When I first saw this flower I thought it was a Chenille plant. Its hot pink fuzzy flowers bob up and down in the breeze which makes this plant very whimsical. It is worth trying in your garden for sure!
